My Reflection on Tim. 4, 9-17

Notice here how depressing the situation of St. Paul is. A colleague deserted him, an enemy had been so rude and creul to him.

A situation like this is an acid tet to every Christian. We can prove how faithful we are to Christian faith, not when we are on top of the world but when we are at lowest point in life. When a good friend deserted us, when an enemy subdue us, when we are deprived of material things, when we are imprison and powerless.

"Pece be with you."

That's is our asurance that we can overcome situation as this. This peace offered by Jesus is not simply peace as absence of war but inner peace which could be a source of our inner strength that no matter how distasteful the situation we find ourselves in, such will not subdue us. We will survive.
