A Christian Blog on the Biological Father of Jesus

What about if Jesus was after all not conceived by the Holy Spirit? Does it matter?

Not at all. In fact it is more sensible and fitting that Jesus should have a biological father.

More sensible and fitting because according to According to St. Paul, "though he was in the form of God, [Jesus] did not regard equality with God something to be grasped. Rather, he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness; and found human in appearance, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross" (Phil 2:6-8).

Being conceived by the holy spirit is indeed something to be grasped at.

So why did Luke and Matthew told this story about Jesus being conceived by the Holy Spirit?

The simple reason is that the early Christian has to prove that Jesus was indeed the mesiah that has been foretold in the old testament hence they made a point that everything that the prophets said about the coming messiah has been alluded to Jesus.
