Best ways to deal with anger

The way to deal with anger is to understand the mechanic behind it.
Man is a rational animal. In proper order man is an animal first before being rational. In other words it takes time for our reason out to mature hence at the outset we rely more on our animal surviving instincts. It just happened that being angry is one among the many defence mechanisms which is essential in order for us to survive. Without our survival instincts we would easily perish.
This is much obvious in eating. We feel hungry and once we are made aware of this feeling our instinct tells us to eat something, lest we die. In similar manner when we feel being attack in whatever form, e.g. physically or emotionally our instinct tells us to defend ourselves or to retaliate, otherwise attacker might kill us. However in order for us to defend ourselves we need physical power and anger is very useful in this department. When we are angry we feel stronger, we feel some form of energy developing from within us that needs to be released. . .(more)
